| Benefits of Auto-responders |

All market studies have been done and production is at full blast. Sometime soon, the merchandise will arrive which means that it is time to tell your customers about the new product up for sale. Web site updating is performed together with flyers mailed to people in your subscriber list promising, perhaps, an early-bird discount. If you happen to be selling e-books, do not allow yourself to be limited to the two options written above. Usually, when new movies or television show productions are completed, trailers and teasers are aired to promote the new film. With an auto-responder, you can provide teasers or previews of electronic books content. You can just imagine how many more potential customers you can snag this way. Personally, I would hate to leave a story unfinished.
Just load one or two chapters of the e-book into the auto-responder, create a form on your website where customers input their name and email address in exchange for receiving a preview chapter free of charge. You can make it so that each data submitted through the form is automatically placed in a customer subscriber list. This done, they will start to receive e-mail updates of the product(s) they previewed as well as any other interesting stuff you have to offer.
Three or two days before product launch, send out those early bird discount offers to your subscribers. Specifically, target those people who asked for book previews. Give them the opportunity to finish the book by offering the early bird discount. Most people would have been hooked already. You just have to get them in the net.
Your subscriber list is a useful tool. Here, you will see which people are interested in the products you have to offer. How so? The law requires advertising tools such as the auto-responder to have an unsubscribe option for people who are not interested to receive further alerts or updates. Those who have not unsubscribed are the ones who show real interest and are more than likely to buy from your store. A good comparison would be separating the window shopper from the serious buyer. There’s no way to tell who’s who. Thanks to the auto-responder, you are given a specific idea as to who the really interested people are. Put these people in a list and send out feelers to them. What is it that they really want? Maybe you can help them find it. After helping them, maybe you can make a sale. It is going to be very difficult to play down the usefulness of an auto-responder. First thing it does is to create e-mail alerts and updates about your product and sends these out to interested customers. Second, it provides an extra helping hand in the sales department! Finally, it keeps track of the people who have real interest in your product. The auto-responder would make a wonderful marketer, secretary and public relations assistant.
